About The Event
Andy Rigby will lead participants through a selection of tunes from his wide repertoire of Celtic, Latin American, Balkan and original music. Melodies will all be playable on lever harp, and the workshop will include arrangement ideas for all sizes of harp and levels of proficiency. Full notation will be available, and at times teaching will be done aurally. At least one of the pieces will be prepared for the concert later that afternoon. A good time is guaranteed!
PLAN FOR THE DAY:
BYO harp, music stand, stool, and pencil
8-30 am – Hall opens for set up. There is plenty of parking adjacent to the hall.
9-00am to 12:30 – Workshop with a half hour break for morning tea (Tea, coffee and biscuits provided)
12:30 - 1-00pm – break for lunch BYO lunch
1pm – Harps to be set up in the hall for the afternoon concert.
Cost: $40 for Harp Society members, $50 for non-members.
The Workshop fee will include entry into the afternoon concert.

Expressions of Interest ASAP. Bookings and full payment will be required by Friday 7th January 2022. Workshop participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. (No charge for a supervising non-playing adult).
